What do european people usually eat for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Dessert??
I am making a menu for a project but we have not learned all the food yet...
sorry... in the title it says french food...
what l should have said was what would usually be on a french menu??

French food

In general, the breakfast is light, i.e. cafe au lait & a croissant or baguette with butter.
Mid day meal - Is a full course affair, starting off with appetizers such as escargots or pate. Next we have the main course of either meat or fish(almost always in a sauce) like civet de lapin (bunny), bouef bourguignone & say bouillabaisse (fish stew). Always potatoes & always veggies. After this, we have salad a la vinagraitte ( I do not recall ever seeing ''french dressing'') followed by cheeses. Do not dare ask for an English Stilton or Spanish Manchugo!
Last, desert & here, if u can imagine it, they probably have it.
Now for dinner be prepared for another full course meal, but probably not before 8:00PM. And for pity is sake, do get out & walk or exercise or u will add a lot of pounds & inches if u get my drift.

Are u studying french?

Because Emily does not really know it.

No offence to her.I got an A in my French A levels. And hot chocolate is not ''le chocolat''. It is ''chocolat chaud'' (''chocolate hot'' as the french describe things after they say the noun)

So, yeh.she got it a bit right about the meal (do not forget to add croissants to that breakfast! The coffee they drink is usually cafe creme (which is cream & coffee obviously)).

Oh, & usually, people all go home for lunch. Work finished for 2 hours in the afternoon just so that families can eat together. It consists of sandwiches (croque monsieur, which is a grilled ham & cheese sandwich.or croque madame, which is a croque monsieur with a fried egg on top!) & they love chips & meat.
They drink juice or wine with that.
THAT is usually the biggest meal of the day.

Dinner is usually soup & bread (the french diet involves a lot of carbs).once again, wine is involved.the drunks

XD

Lol.

So, yeh, that is a traditional menu for a normal french day. I had to explain it all for an essay. It was one of the ones that got me an A!

Have fun with ur project. Go one better & grab an A+

***Hmm. reading Emily is french.it seems real basic.that is the rubbish I learnt when I first started high school at the age of 11.

P.s. If it is french that you're studying, the word ''du'' means ''some''. So u could say ''Ils aiment mangeant du pain avec leur café.'' << They like eating some bread with their coffee.

French food

Europeans all have their own ethnic foods, but the French eat what is generally referred to as a Continental Breakfast, cafe au lait, croissants and other breads.

French food

Uh, well the French cook with alot of sauces & stuff. And bread is their specialty. Um, here is a list of some french food that I researched.

Crepes: Which is like a really flat kind of pancake I guess, & u can top it with strawberries, whipped cream or even sugar if u want.
Creme Brule: It is a custard that u can sprinkle with sugar, coconut, cinamin, or stuff like that.
Filet Mignon: A tender round of steak cut from beef.
Cheese fondue: Cheese melted in wine that u can dip fruit or bread into.
Souffle: Um, this is a light dish made from egg whites combined with egg yolks, fish or cheese or other kinds of stuff.
Parfait: A desert made from ice cream & fruit or ice cream & syrup in different layers topped with whipped cream or strawberries, coconut, chocolate etc.
Gateau: A really light spongy cake with rich icing or filling, nuts, fruit or custard.
French mousse: A sweet dessert with whipped cream as a base, added with flavors like vanilla or chocolate.

Sorry if these r mostly desserts. They're my favorite.

Europe is very large and has such a diverse range of cultures. Do you have to choose one country or choose foods from different european countries and put it all together?
I would just search italian recipes, or greek recipes or french recipes on google and see if you can find some authentic ones.
hope that helped =]

French food

I did this project in French 1. In france, breakfast is usually like a peice of bread (le pain) & coffee (le cafe). They may also drink hot chocolate for breakfast (le chocolat). If u would like to know the name of a food, feel free to ask me & I will be happy to let u know.
